Girls Create

Girls Create Drop In Program is a safe place where teenage girls can be themselves after a long day of school. It is an opportunity to bond and fellowship with other young ladies within an empowering environment. The program provides youth development opportunities that will help the girls to learn and grow within a positive place. Girls Create Drop In Program is an wonderful experience where teenage girls can participate in a fun, educational, and safe activities for no cost. Activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Homework help

  • Sex awareness

  • Self-care

  • Love and Hip Hop

  • Girl talk

  • Healing Activities

  • Meditation

  • Expression through dance and music

  • Natural hair movement

  • Black Girl Magic

  • Spoken words and poetry

  • Museum tour of The Museum of Women Resistance

  • Mother and Daughter Tea

  • Doll test

  • Black Feminism and intersectionality

  • America’s Next Top Model

Location: 279 Empire Blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11225

Meeting: Wednesdays 3:30-5:30 p.m

Starts: February 8, 2017

Participants: 14-19 year olds
